What does it have to do with bitcoin? I often wonder how long it is before the police start coming after the ponzi scammers on here though.

Spanish police have arrested 20 individuals in connection with a pyramid scheme that used a fake digital currency called the unete to attract unwitting investors.

Seems to be a straight forward ponzi scheme. The operation was based in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; so I am not sure how easy it will be to get the money back.
I wonder why the article calls it a "fake" digital currency.
