A new documentary “Bitcoin: The End of Money As We Know It” has been released featuring Roger Ver and Andreas Antonopoulos among other bitcoin entrepreneurs and investors.

The 60-minute documentary directed by Torsten Hoffman was crowdfunded by 116 backers who in total invested $17,362 AUD. Hoffman is based in Australia and has MBA in Finance from the University of Oxford. He is also the founder of the 3D Content Hub, a company that helps producers distribute their work.

The documentary seeks to explain bitcoin, “this controversial and influential innovation”, to those who still do not understand it. The documentary gives an account of the history of money and exposes banks and other financial institutions as well as governments as causing crisis and inflation. The nature of contemporary fiat money is shown as elusive and ephemeral as well as based on debt. In this context bitcoin is shown as an alternative.

“If you trust in your money just as it is, this film has news for you,” the synopsis reads.
