I like the idea of using VoIP more and more compared to these "traditional" phone systems. There is still a long way to go for BitPhone and other companies though.
I think eventually most centralized programs like skype will get overtaken by open source and decentralized ones. Spying and security will be a big issue and we all know companies like skype etc work hand in hand with the nsa and this will come back to haunt them at some point.

Should skype be worried about this? Well Bitcoin's micro payments are very well placed to disrupt this environment soon.
