The article effectively says Bitcoin to benefit from increased reach of the internet.
So?

This is definitely a good thing for areas with no internet access. I know Google is busy with a similar project, but they are not going to use drones, instead they are using huge balloons.

In some areas, this will also help with the problem where copper cables are stolen to sell as scrap metal. These people even damage fiber cables, because they think it contains copper.

This could reach more rural areas too, where fiber cables would not be a option due to the cost implications and the small target market. You have to develop access to internet to bring

the benefit of Bitcoin to everyone. It's no use, if people have a Bitcoin address and they have no means of online communication, to sell their products.  Wink

To use Bitcoin properly, an active internet connection is needed. Regardless of whether that connection comes in the form of WiFi or mobile data connectivity, sending and receiving Bitcoins benefits from an internet connection at some point.
