Bitcoin promoter. Pro Crypto tee wearer. Nice guy.
It's a great idea. I spoke to the guys there a couple months ago and they said that they get a lot of people on the street randomly coming in out of curiosity. It's a pretty busy area so they get a lot of visibility. And for many people who only have a vague idea of what Bitcoin is from the odd article they might of skimmed over, it's a way to talk to someone face to face.

They've also done a good job of PR with some of the local businesses. You'll have pizza places, restaurants, groceries and cornershops nearby who all accept Bitcoin. The people at the Embassy provide for a regular customer base who prefer to spend bitcoin and therefore create incentive for the businesses.

Ad maiora!
Montreal is a very libertarian place. And a university city. Uni is cheap there and so are rents (comparatively) so there are young people from across Canada moving there to get away from home and go to school. Never surprised me why btc embassy is there.

In the heart of downtown Montreal, between a boarded-up bar and restaurant, there’s a three-storey glass building. It looks for all the world like any other normal office — that is, until you spot the sign swaying in the wind: “Bitcoin Embassy”.
