I'm glad reddit did this. I've never seen so much disinformation and FUD going back and forth. I can't wait until this is all over and we can all see that nothing changed, except transaction speed, which will be way faster, and mining monopolies, which will topple.
I don't think any blocksize changes will speed transactions up at all. The rate that will increase is the rate at which transactions can be processed per block. But blocks will still get solved on average very 10 minutes. So it's still ~10 minutes for 1 confirmation. But more transactions will fit in any 1 block.
