This brain drain has left people wondering if these forums are dying out.

New signups for September standing at 3,154 - August was 10,942 - Average new daily registrations of around 260 and average number of posts of 5,820.....

Not so sure about the 'brain drain'. This forum seems pretty alive and growing.

I've seen some new forums springing up but it's going to take a very long time for them to accumulate the wealth and amount of information already contained within this forum. Whether they will be around that long is debatable but I doubt it.

Other than BTCTalk and Reddit, hardly any places are being used.

Not saying alternatives have no potential though, but we're a long way away from seeing a fair distribution Smiley

i dont think the numbers of users at voat and a few reddit subs really constitutes an exodus. bitcointalk is still the main hub, despite its flaws, its the best we have

Agreed... It's a storm in a cup, blown out of proportion by the media to garner more attention to their platform. The shills are having a field day with this, but we are still using

both Bitcointalk and Reddit as we did before. The splinter group {XT Supporters} are still in the minority and the rest of them, just followed because they were pissed off with

Thermos for banning people on \r\Bitcoin ... The positive thing coming from this... more channels of discussion was created to speak about Bitcoin related topics. {So it's

even more visible.}

Recent controversy regarding alleged censorship at popular Bitcoin forums Bitcoin Talk and r/Bitcoin on Reddit in recent months has led to an exodus away from those previously popular forums. This brain drain has left people wondering if these forums are dying out. For that reason, CCN has put together a list of growing forums revolving around Bitcoin from various popular online portals.
