Bitcoin ATMs' number is growing in a nice slow but steady speed. If the manufactorers and distributors now can improve the simplicity of usage interested new people will have less headache.

Slow & steady? Just check out ukraine and romanian atm's. As far as i know Ukraine has the most atm all over Europe. Fact that the whole country now has acces to bitcoin. Romania is the same, hopefully Hungary will join this elite club in 1-2 years but i doubt it. Sad

I am actually pleasantly surprised that this whole Bitcoin ATM project with Mike Tyson was not a hoax, or over hyped publicity stunt as many previous bitcoin startups were. Mike is not maybe the best person to promote bitcoin, but he is renown celebrity across the world, so Bitcoin will have good press finally.

Some interesting figures.

There is no denying that the number of ATM's are growing, actually at a higher rate than I expected. Currently at 0.58 ATM's per day so essentially a new ATM every second day.

The US is clearly still miles ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to the total number of ATM's.

It's up to 1.15 ATM's per day now. This is very impressive indeed, thanks for the link. I am a bit worried that most ATM's are installed in the USA and very little in the areas that

need it the most. Asia & Africa has the highest remittance potential for Bitcoin, but they are the least represented in these statistics.  Angry

The owners of these companies must branch out to these areas, where Bitcoin can make the biggest difference.

Europe is not doing too badly just behind the US, I have only the one near me and it is only one way, Fiat to BTC would love a reversed one to appear.

Mike Tyson made headlines earlier today after he unveiled his first branded bitcoin ATM in Las Vegas. Although he is just the latest celebrity to speak out in favour of the digital currency, the ex-heavyweight champion of the world's decision to lend his image to a bitcoin hardware ATM first sent shockwaves across the crypto world when it was announced in July.
