Kids today learn very quickly. This is the facebook generation.  Grin
Giving them exposure about digital currency at such a young age is good.

Definitely agree with this, they are growing up surrounded by an amazing amount of technology and if we can get them adopting something like Bitcoin at an early age it can only be a positive move.

Ad maiora!
when i read the title i envisioned a sort of mini BTC ATM where you could put in coins and have them changed into BTC. of course that would be difficult to do, but would also be pretty cool.

the article explains it is basically a device for parents to give out allowances electronically and for the kids to manage their savings at their end.

i think this is a good idea. its more about teaching the value of saving than anything, but thats a valuable lesson for kids. plus, no more smashing open the piggy bank to go on a splurge!

While I like this initiative because it's new and fresh, I also have my thoughts on letting a third party have control over my money. I like Bitcoin for one of the many reasons being I can be the boss over my own money. That's not the case with banks, and also not here with this Piggy Bank.

I like the concept, because it promotes saving habits to kids... something lacking in the world today. The kids are being targeted by ruthless advertising as a route to soften the

adult parents. Any product that will encourage them to save, will get my attention. I just want mine to say ... " Squeal like a pig! " - Deliverance style!   Grin

I thought it was released already... but it's still in Kickstarter phase.  Sad

i agree. kids in today´s world are pushed to buy useless stuff and share their personal infos with everyone & everything. not a healthy way.
