Guess the chances of a country ever adopting bitcoin is a round zero. They want full control over the digital currency and with bitcoin they cannot have this.

These digital currencies that each country wants to create is going to have a severe impact on the adoption of bitcoin. Most people will see even less reason why they should use bitcoin if they can just use their own local digital currency which would essentially offer the same benefits.

Bitcoiners of course know the true benefits behind bitcoin i.e. its not control by a central authority etc....

Scottish National Party (SNP) MP George Kerevan wants Scotland to work on a digital currency and has also said that this must be the next on the policy agenda. The MP spoke at length about the much debated digital currency Scotpound at a fringe event at the SNP conference in Aberdeen.
