You know what? I don't think we should be even posting up any of these Ebay and Paypal related news articles because I'm becoming convinced they're just trying to click bait Bitcoin users, they've been constantly going on about this for months now and they never do a fucking thing. Until you see a bitcoin payment button or a bitcoin balance on paypal or ebay's website itself, dont give these guys attention, I think they're just trying to use Bitcoin to go and hype some other service they've got cooked up to try and compete with the blockchain I doubt they're going to actually adopt it at all.

So they will not be going with bitcoin directly, pity, would have been so much better.

Even though John Donahoe said ebay was not expanding the PayPal wallet to include Bitcoins, he said the new digital wallet would be able to integrate and accept several other digital currencies.

Would like to see how they are going to incorporate bitcoin in there.

Learning the troll avoidance button :)
I did find it interesting that Ebay was filing for Cryptocurrency patents

It would be nice to have a direct service although Braintree does provide that function at present integration in the merchant cart would be sweet..

Ebay is exploring the digital wallets niche and soon may be integrating bitcoin. Recently, Ebay has been trying to obtain a larger number of retailer clients on to its e-commerce platform, and now the company is looking to expand the number of digital currencies it accepts.

In an interview with the Financial Times, John Donahoe, chief executive at eBay, said “Digital currency is going to be a very powerful thing.”

Corporate initiatives are boosting the interest in digital wallets in order to facilitate online shopping. Banks, retailers, mobile and technology groups companies, are competing to use new mobile wallets to streamline the online payment process. For this, the company is working to expand the PayPal wallet which will make it accessible to virtual payment systems including digital currencies.
