Who would donate them money? So they can waste it again in some useless expenditures. If they even want to consider a fundrasing campaign, they really should resign or reorganise their foundation. There lack of action and even more their inability to launch some proper marketing for bitcoin is just sad.

Leave no FUD unchallenged
It seems pretty clear that the Foundation is easily susceptible to corruption and there isn't much that can be done to change that.  I had hoped that under new leadership things might change for the better, but it's probably best if we call time on it now.  There's no point in continuing to mimic systems of governance that are inherently flawed and prone to abuse.  Even back in May, Janssens was quoted as saying:

Quote
According to Janssens, the Bitcoin Foundation has served a legitimate purpose in the last two years, but the foundation is now “internally recreating the same archaic political system that fails to work for society.”

While Bitcoin promotes unprecedented transparency and shifts power back into the hands of the people, Janssens says that it’s unreasonable for its de facto representative organization to be the opposite – a non-transparent, political and secretive elite.

“We have been trying to push the BF for transparency and clear communication for years, without result. Meanwhile they started creating even more political structures inside, such as committees, which can only be accessed by knowing the right people,” said Janssens.

So if, even despite recognising the problems that would result in that outcome, all the money has still managed to disappear, then clearly it's a complete and total failure.  They saw it coming and still didn't prevent it.

Bruce Fenton should ask some of the extraordinarily wealthy members of the organisation he really represents for money to continue to run his scammy "foundation". The families of Bruce's rich fellows have spent the last several hundred years pillaging the planet, so using corrupt money for a corrupt organisation would only be the right thing to do.

Bitcoin Foundation is to scandalous and won't be taken seriously as real advocate of bitcoin in the future. They wasted their chance to achieve greatness.
I think the Foundation has too many internal problems for it to ever become a useful pillar for the bitcoin ecosystem to rely upon.

The Bitcoin Foundation is in disarray! And it is cash-strapped, thanks to the frivolous spending of its members. The disappointing news has come to light from the recently released minutes of the Bitcoin Foundation Board Meeting held on October 20, 2015. The meeting was attended by Bruce Fenton, Amy Loughran-Dolan, Brock Pierce, Jim Harper, Bobby Lee, and Olivier Janssens.
