We will see how 'killer' that service really will be. So far people are having high hopes for Open Bazaar, but with project so big so many things can go wrong, and even if there won't be any technical screw ups.
There is no guarantee the idea will hook people up. I need to see that to believe and so far release day is moving further and further away.

That is if OpenBazaar does not turn into the next Silkroad. We all know we need a fully decentralized marketplace, but if it turns into a Silkroad, it would do more harm than good.

I would much rather see some killer game supporting Bitcoin and getting widely accepted by everyone on all platforms. I had some high hopes for Streamium in the beginning, but

they were hugely disappointing.  Sad

"OpenBazaar will operate in some unique ways that help push forth pure peer-to-peer decentralized markets. The system employs an escrow system like the Ricardian contract solution mentioned above. The concept was first discussed by Ian Grigg in a paper he published researching the Ricardo payment system with Gary Howland. The network uses this escrow system to make sure the wealth is not in the hands of a third-party at any time. The software also uses 2 multi-signatures technologies to complete transactions and ensures funds are kept safe within its protocol."

The escrow system is the most important part of the market.
