The price drop is a good time to buy. I think the comment has no lasting effect. The only effect I want it to have is for the Core to increase the block size soon.

I can't believe people would actually sell over a comment like that, what a bunch of idiots, this will mean though the weaker hands will be driven out, yeah, these guys as usual are just picking up on any crap to try and discredit Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.

I have seen several of these headlines in various news sites. It just makes me laugh because they don't know anything about Bitcoin. It's ignorance at the highest level. They don't have a clue of what Bitcoin is and what it can do in the future for all people. These news sites want to get as many clicks as possible and that's why they write nonsense stuff without first looking into Bitcoin itself to see if it's true what Mike Hearn is saying.

This is good time to buy more bitcoin. I thought previously the price would not go below $400.

Obviously, the mainstream media has latched on to this negative news.
It is unfortunate that this has overshadowed all other news about Bitcoin so far (including the appointment of Casares to Paypal's board). Hopefully, things cool off soon.
