Bitcoin exchange and debit card issuer Bit-X recently discussed the measures it has taken to protect its clients? money from online criminals.
The UK-based digital currency startup confirmed that the account of each of its client is equipped with two-factor authentication, multi-signature addresses & transactions, and PCI DSS certification. It also said that it uses 3-D secure system technology to protect debit and credit card transactions on its platform, which is also equipped with its own 2-factor client authentication and safety protection protocol.
The security measures are taken in wake of the series of online attacks against Bitcoin exchanges around the world, including the very recent hack on Cryptsy that lost around $5.7 million worth of clients? digital currency. A representative of Bit-X added:
