I think Dr Craig Wright is just looking for cheap publicity... Smiley

A sure proof would be, "Sir, can you build the bitcoin core from the scratch a second time?"

Then watch him scratch his head... Roll Eyes

Whatever kind of publicity he is looking for, he is currently getting it with truckloads. Real proof is signing with his private keys. Building Bitcoin Core from scratch is easy for a decent developer.

From what the BBC are saying he proved it by showing them the private key to the first block mined so all we really know is he worked on it from the start but i doubt satoshi would make come out after this long and i really doubt hed come out and say he want to be left alone.... pretty stupid idea, but should keep the conspiracies going for while

Leave no FUD unchallenged
Looks like certain media outlets are jumping the gun again over this highly dubious claim.  I'm not taking anything as fact unless I see some of Satoshi's coins moving.

Impressive story that they found really the person Satoshi Nakamoto.

They didn't "find" anything.  The shady kook announced it to the world himself.  And then claimed he didn't want any publicity.  The whole thing stinks.

Impressive story that they found really the person Satoshi Nakamoto. Till now it was a big mystery who the person was behind the virtual name.

Quote
He proved his identity by presenting the cryptographic keys associated with the first Bitcoin blocks ever mined. According to Dr. Wright:

“These are the blocks used to send 10 bitcoins to Hal Finney in January [2009] as the first bitcoinCT r:  8CT r:  8 transaction.”
I guess that this is enough proof to be sure that this can't be fake. Anyone who can confirm that this can only be done by the person himself or are there still possibilities that this person is paid to tell this news.
