He did earn 100K through speculating on Bitcoin back in 2012...no surprise there .  He then rolled that money into an online tutoring services company...from there that money was rolled into a vr headset as a crowdfunding opportunity I guess - we have no idea if he made money or not with that online tutoring company - I take it he didn't because he's moving onto this now....he's trying to crowdfund and raise 500K for this vr headset...nothing else related to bitcoin nothing more here...

Another lie. These kind of news used to be made for stock market to lure noobs who want easy money. Kinda sad bitcoin needs that kind of news to be popular.

Well, I do not know if it was not just luck and good timing or ingenuity on his side to go ALL IN on Bitcoin with his initial investment.. but kudo's to him for doing it and succeeding. For any other kids

out there who wants to do the same... just a little advice ---> http://themerkle.com/how-to-buy-and-sell-bitcoin-under-the-age-of-18/ ... Some Bitcoin exchanges have age restrictions and will

confiscate your coins, if you do not abide by their rules. Be careful out there... not everyone make these kind of profits. Alternatively... ask a parent or legal guardian of legal age to buy it for you on

their account.

A very interesting story. However he just used Bitcoin as a speculative vehicle to get more fiat currency, without really understanding the huge potential Bitcoin has as a currency in its own right.

Maybe he is a genius and will become a billionaire by marketing his VR headsets. However I very much doubt that he will be able to compete with the huge companies just by launching a crowdfunding campaign. Chances are that in the not too far future, he will regret his decision to cash out his coins so soon...

After having been given $1,000 by his grandma at only 13-years-old, Erik Finman, now 17, made the risky decision to invest in the notoriously volatile Bitcoin market. His investment very much paid off.
