Blockchain startup Fluent raises $1.65 million in capital
Fluent, a payment-systems startup with offices in Lexington, Ky., and St. Louis, has raised $1.65 million from several venture capital firms. The funding will allow the company to expand its engineering and sales teams. Fluent also announced that Commerce Bancshares is participating in a test of its payments system. Fluent's system uses a blockchain, the technology that underlies the virtual currency bitcoin, for business-to-business payments.
