No it does not matter one bit.  In fact it is a distraction.  The creator of bitcoin purposefully has disappeared from it because they want people to focus on the technology and the global impacts which are far more important than the identity of the creator.  I don't need to know who created my espresso maker to enjoy the taste.

it does matter. people curiosity will always push them to look for satoshi and know him. it also matters because most of bitcoin holders are afraid from the first mined coins to be spent which can cause a big inflation

If people really worry about that, then they should get really worried when the price goes up to much higher price levels than now, and Mark Karpeles start dumping "his" 300-500K stash. This is a much bigger threat and no one seem to care about it. Satoshi isn't revealing himself for a reason and he haven't touched his coins for a reason.

Since the Bitcoin white paper was published in 2009, the identity of the now infamous pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto has been the subject of wide conjecture, with the most recent developments of Australian computer scientist Craig Steven Wright launching a renewed fervor of speculation, scepticism and perhaps even, hope.

Bitcoin is the basis on which hundreds of digital currencies have since spawned. It has served as the central catalyst for the fast-encroaching technical revolution toward decentralized systems to better suit our computer-driven, interconnected — networked — world of today.
