City of Austin Fails to Shut Down Arcade City App-Launch Event
Brave New Books planned to host the pre-launch of Arcade City’s new app before the event was anonymously reported to the Austin City Code Department. Brave New Books owner, John Bush, says he received a call from the department the day the event was to be hosted. The code compliance inspector told Bush that if they continued with the event, and if more than 49 people attended, then they would be in violation of city ordinance.
