Let the ecosystem grow and then the government can take a call.

How? What call will they make? To Santa Claus perhaps? Maybe God can help?

We just have to take the example of "BitLicences" to know that the government is not cut out to regulate bitcoin businesses, yet.

it would have to be consistent globally to be effective and that probably is not possible.

One world government, maybe? That would allow these "necessary" regulations to operate consistently worldwide, huh? Let's not let the obvious problems with that get in the way of increased Bitcoin adoption, eh? Roll Eyes

Do any of you regulation cheerleaders have any suggestions on how to enforce the regulations? A sternly worded letter to perpetrators perhaps? Maybe the regulators will be able to post the letters to these Bitcoin addresses I've been hearing about Roll Eyes

I don't know, it would have to be consistent globally to be effective and that probably is not possible.  Maybe only good in theory.

I have to say, I was not in favor of regulations... until I experienced the frustration of not using Bitcoin for payment on a online gaming site and when these people replied to my email saying current

Fintech regulations do not allow for them to use it, and they will only consider it, once guidance were given via regulations from the government. I know Circle partnered with Barclays a while ago, and

I hope this bank can get the government approval to go forward with this. I will open a bank account at the first bank that partners with them to use Bitcoin.  Wink

I was similar in my belief about regulation in the beginning, and now I feel that regulation will help with further adoption of bitcoin and fintech in general.  Newcomers will feel more comfortable putting their money in it if they feel they are somewhat protected.  At this time it seems that regulation of some sort is inevitable.

Things are called shit for a reason, dear.
Circle Favors More Regulation For Bitcoin & Fintech

Regulation in the world of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is often seen as a double-edged sword. But if Circle has a say in the matter, more regulation will be beneficial, and it is direly needed as well.
