Leave no FUD unchallenged
There's an alternative source here if you don't like the one in the OP.

Ultimately, it depends how neutral the proposed changes end up being as to whether or not people will get behind it.  If it does end up being perceived as a political move to reinforce a certain agenda, the Bitcoin community will do what it does best and decentralise, hosting copies of the original whitepaper in all corners of the internet.  If bitcoin.org devolves into some sort of Murdoch-esque platform, promoting wholly biased views, it will only serve to further raise divisions in the community.  I hope those involved tread carefully.

"Cobra-Bitcoin" suggested changing the paper. Blockstream has nothing to do it with it (unless it is discovered that the person works for Blockstream).

JP Buntinx is the worst journalist ever.

One Blockstream member is in favor of making changes to the Bitcoin whitepaper, as he feels “it will do more harm than good”. The obvious term that comes to mind is “censorship”, which should be avoided at all costs. Bitcoin was designed to be censorship-resistant, so why would any community member try to change that, all of a sudden?
