The plan to add Ethereum to Coinbase was known for quite some time. The company first added Ethereum trading to GDAX, its professional digital asset exchange. With the daily ETH trading on GDAX increasing by 350% since its addition, it became evident there is a growing market. It only makes sense to add Ethereum to Coinbase at such an opportune time.
