For those who feel that the world spins too fast, a Florida judge may have slowed it down in a way they'll appreciate. Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Teresa Mary Pooler ruled Monday that Bitcoin isn't money. Her decision could reach far beyond the $1,500 Bitcoin laundering case that landed in her court.

People of a certain generation probably think of Bitcoin as the animated cartoon coin bitten by the superhero Underdog in his public identity as Shoe Shine Boy. They may be relieved to know that while by now they should have learned their way around a smartphone, they needn't feel left behind if they haven't been trading in Bitcoin.
