Only seven days later, the German Central Bank (Bundesbank) announced today that it tests blockchain technology in cooperation with Deutsche Börse (German Stock exchange). According to a German financial news paper, there is a group of around 40 people in both companies which are focusing on blockchain testing and research.

Funny event. Bankers discussing the viability of something that is showing its practical use every day. Of course, they can't simply admit that Bitcoin is highly practical payment solution - that would mean that bankers are not needed anymore. Instead they will discuss private blockchains in length and then conclude that Bitcoin itself is not a viable payment solution, but it's technology is useful for fiat currencies riding on private blockchains.

It's hilarious. These guy, even after years of opportunity to learn from reality, can't catch the obvious: The true innovation is the decntralized currency Bitcoin. And it will be the end of fiat and banks as we know it. There is no "opportunity" for bankers. Zero. Nada. That's the harsh reality.

Hopefully they can at least enjoy good catering this time...
