I created two wallets with them, so yeah. 100's of wallets can be actually owned by one person.

So the numbers are indeed misinterpreted.

a nice milestone 10 mil wallets
on paper
in reality 1 wallet doesn't correspond to 1 user, not at all
I think one should divide this figure by  4 to 10 to guestimate unique people using the service
also I didn't like their update at all,old wallet was easier to use, simpler and more user friendly
if I wanted something complicated I would create (and I did Smiley  ) desktop or core wallets,
IMHO online wallets are there for
users to hold small change and get started with bitcoins and cryptocurrency in general

The problem is, one Bitcoin user can have multiple accounts on that platform, so you cannot correlate Bitcoin adoption based on the stats

received from that site. I have loads of wallets on there for different uses on the internet. { Faucets / Bitcoin games & Apps } Every time I test

something, I use a different wallet. A more accurate measurement of adoption would be to use stats from regulated services.  Wink

Bitcoin Startup Blockchain Adds 10 Millionth Wallet

allet service Blockchain has registered its 10 millionth bitcoin wallet.

Data shows that, as of today, 10,053,518 wallets have been created by users of the service. That’s 7m more than Blockchain reported in February of last year, a significant jump in the roughly 20 months since that time. The service reported just under 9.4m wallets late last month.
Announcing the 10 millionth wallet on its blog, Blockchain cited factors such as the US presidential election, the devaluation of the Chinese yuan and the vote by the UK to leave the European Union as key drivers of interest in bitcoin.
The company said of the milestone:

“While there’s still a lot to do, we can’t help but pause this week to give thanks for the millions of users who are helping us build an open, fair and accessible financial future. We are excited and honored to be on this path with you all.”
