Will bitcoin be able to survive that long?
For the first time in the history of humankind, a currency has reached and surpassed the value of the oldest money on earth, gold.
In the wake of its eighth-year anniversary, Bitcoin’s global market capitalization has crossed the $18 billion range having grown at a 24-hour rate of over 6% which saw it add over $1 billion in a day, according CoinMarketCap.
Bitcoin marked its anniversary on Tuesday January 3 when the day ended with a cap of $16.8 billion. By Wednesday, the market cap has risen to $17.6 billion even with the day still left with several hours to end.

So much great news coming from bitcoin lately. 2017 is looking pretty bright for it. I just hope we keep this pace and we continue to grow. A lot of people just got rich from this sudden rise. Now, all I wish is to have bitcoins adopted by the world and we can buy things outside the internet and live like bitcoin is at par with fiat currency.
Hopefully it won't take long.
