      Focused on Davos: China unites other 25 countries to establish Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC)
   The Davos Forum that kicked off on January 17 in Davos, Switzerland witnessed the gathering of governmental and industrial representatives from 25 countries. During the forum, Jamie Elizabeth Smith, the former spokesperson and special assistant of the former rtUSA president Obama, announced that the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) is officially established. The founding nation representatives include senior executives of World Bank Mariana Dahan, former Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, former Prime Minister of Haidi Laurent Lamont, former Economy Minister of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavičius
   Mr. Deng Di, the head of the China Blockchain Delegation and Chairman of (CBD) Tai Cloud Corporation, pioneered Chinese blockchain companies to join the GBBC founding ceremony with China as its founding nation. The outstanding members of the China Blockchain Delegation include Dr. Wei Wang, founding Chairman of China Mergers and Acquisitions Association(CMAA), Ge Ming, Chief Supervisor of  CMAA, Dr. Wang Yongli, former Vice President of Bank of China, Peng Yaojie, CEO of China Credit FinTech Holdings Limited, and other dozens of  industry representatives and specialists. Besides, Dr. Wei Wang, the Chief Consultant of CBS, has been awarded trophy of honor by the sponsor for his significant contribution.
   On the first conference of GBBC, representatives from various countries reached initial consensus global popularization of blockchain knowledge, business corporation, standardized partnership, and governmental communications after they introduced their progress in the blockchain technology research in details.Valery Vavilov, CEO of Bitfury, Patrick M. Byrne CEO of Patrick, and Uschi Schreiber, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of EY Group gave the speeches separately on the conference.

   In the context of deep adjustment period of world economy and most complicated changes of world situation and order in the post-cold war area, the word expects President Xi Jinping to elaborate China’s perspective and China’s and world economy, and Chinese wisdom and solutions to facilitate the establishment of more harmonious international new order, and to solve the root cause that constrains to growth of the world economy. President Xi did so by his keynote speech on global governance. In his speech, President Xi expressed China’s continuous support and commitment to globalization and global economy.

   As features of Blockchain as openness, sharing, equality are gradually acknowledged by more people, the efforts of China and the world in Blockchain will be part of the endeavor that contribute to a more harmonious world. Blockchain technology becomes an important topic of discussion in the Davos Forum.

   In China, national strategy plan, large corporations and academic community have all recognized blockchain technology. The 13th Five-year-plan, China’s most important national development strategy points Blockchain as direction for development. The People’s Bank of China commenced to research blockchain application applied on future digital currency at very early stage. Many blockchain research center and unions have been set up in China. Especially, under the guidance of Beijing Municipal government, Chinese Museum of Finance launched “China Blockchain Application Research Center”(CBABC), whose purpose is to promote standardized knowledge popularization. Being earliest national-level blockchain research institution. CBABC is also the main initiator and promoter for GBBC, contributing much for Chinese blockchain industry embracing the world.
   Companies in China are also keen on Blockchain companies. Companies like Tai Cloud Corporation, Dian Rong, Oklink are able to compete with the best blockchain companies in the world. Many areas, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Ganzhou (Jiangxi) are actively promoting blockchain industry. The debut of CBD on the World Economic Forum represents Chinese blockchain industry’ positive attitude and action and concrete actions to the world to jointly research and explore Blockchain technology.

The official establishment of the Global Blockchain Business Council will influence more governments and enterprises to know blockchain, and provide a communication and cooperation platform for businessperson and technical experts.
