At least this a good way to provide farmers specially women loans to raise crops of their own and poultry and improve on farming methods. They don't need to go to loan sharks which charge huge interest. Bitcoin really has a way to improve someone or a nation in terms of its lives specially poor countries in Africa. I think they have their own BitMari Mobile Wallet, which cashout their bitcoin into your local currency. I think they also provided trainings regarding bitcoin, agricultural and financial lessons.

That's good to know. People who live there mostly are poor. In a day, the maximum wage they could earn roughly $2 in a day. Imagine how bad is that. Good thing that bitcoin was introduced there. Its good to see how they change their lives with bitcoin. Hope one day, bitcoin users there get out of poverty there.
If African want to come out of poverty now is the best time to do so. The major problem why most African economic are underdeveloped is because of influence of foreign currencies like dollars on their local currency and what can bring revolutionary change and create equality is bitcoin and crytocurrency in general.

Don't let others control your BTC -> self custody
The article seems positive and promising, but this is more of a charity than a loan business. What collateral are these farmers offering? They don't have bank accounts and they don't have stable jobs, so giving them loans is very risky. What will happen if they can't pay back or simply decide not to? Will they sue them over a small loan in bitcoin? How will the judge in Zimbabwe rule if they have little to no knowledge of cryptocurrencies?

If you know the rise and find the gaps of life they will never miss, even though others have said from behind
Total and utter bullshit if you know the rise and find the gaps in it while it's fresh and hot.

How does Bitcoin improving anything while people with the power are not allowing it to be improved in the first place? this is all fairy tales while only benefit in Bitcoin is in trading with altcoins as a day trader, I guess you forgot to mention that you might starve to death while waiting for your low fee transaction to get confirmed and because you are poor you are unable to spend the money which is for your today's food as fee.
Maybe show this to Wu along with some pictures of those who died but if they could use low fees network of Bitcoin they might have'd a chance to live and survive eh?

I think that this a a great example of why bitcoin is an amazing development. In the developed world we take for granted access to the banking sector and financial institutions, while in developing nations those services are often inaccessible or controlled by others with their own agenda, driven by corruption.

Bitcoin breaks down these barriers, by eliminating red tape and cutting out the middlemen. Long may it continue.

It is not a surprise that Bitcoin can elevate the way of living of people.  It is seen in many member of this forum.  Those who are still studying are being able to support themselves by doing some task here.  It is that Bitcoin offers a new stream of potential earning to people if they are dedicated enough to learn how to take advantage of these opportunities.

Bitcoin is Improving Lives of Women Farmers in Zimbabwe

Bitcoin keeps changing lives around the world, and Africa is no exception. One of the difficult economic processes here in my continent is getting access to credit.
How do you have access to credit when you don’t even have a bank account? The answer is not far-fetched. The situation is worse when vulnerable people like the poor and women are involved. According to the Zimbabwe Independent Newspaper, 73 percent of people living in rural Zimbabwe are poor. In fact, 30 percent of the above figure are food poor or extremely poor.
