Why hackers love bitcoin? Because its anonimous. They can't be trace. If you see, the hackers still free and can't arrest of authorities because they don't even know how can they find these criminals. And not only because its anonymous, its also a very valuable. $2000 a piece. Who don't want that?
Vaguely put.The most motivated hackers, not the script kiddies have a different vision altogether. They don't really hack systems for bitcoins, they've a wider underlying meaning behind the attacks which often people don't notice.

bitcoin is not "anonimous" it is pseudoanonymous and it can be traced
Not if you know how to make it anonymous. If I rotate my coins through 10 different services using 5 other mixers,it will surely give a hard to trace my activities.Maybe if you're from NSA you might get closer.

bitcoin is not "anonimous" it is pseudoanonymous and it can be traced
and it is much easier to trace than some fiat money or transfers, despite the myths that surround bitcoins,
blockchain was designed specifically to be able to trace every single transaction on chain

the thing is with further adoption and more goods and services sold for bitcoins, there will be much more opportunities
for scammers hackers and such to get rid of their tainted coins, not using the middleman in the form of exchanges

Hackers love Bitcoin because for one, Bitcoin transactions are mostly anonymous. Thus, it would help these hackers proliferate their cause. Two, they can easily escape once caught since Bitcoin is decentralized and is significantly unregulated especially in the digital world. Three, it is easier for them to obtain money through hacking online currencies since wallets or accounts are all keyed in online.

MenaPay - Crypto made easier than cash
The people using Bitcoin to do this, might just get some big surprise soon. Bitcoin might be pseudo anonymous and these people might be using

tools and services to make it more anonymous.... but this might soon backfire on them. These services might have some holes or exploits that

secret agencies are aware of and which these services might not be aware of. We have seen how powerful these LEAKED NSA tools were and how

many more of these tools are out there... that are not leaked?  Huh

I think this could be true. Eventhough they will try to used mixers to "mix" their coins so its hard to traced. Some agency like NSA have already found a hole that will make the bitcoin traceable to someone else IP address and can be easily identified. Hackers thought they are one step ahead, but least do they know that NSA may have already found and exploit it any backdoor. Maybe we will just hear soon from news that this hacker/s has been arrested in his home basement. LOL.
That the hackers themselves, some who thundered in their time to the whole world, are very actively cooperating or even working for the special services. So I did not eat too much for the fact that someone can take it in the personal cellar.

Probably the government finances the Special Service very poorly. And so their regular hackers came up with this virus. Now they have earned $ 50,000 and can buy stationery and new flash drives  Grin Grin Grin

The WannaCry ransomware attackers demanded payment in the cryptocurrency. But its use in the ‘clean’ economy is growing, too, and could revolutionise how we use money

In March 2009, representatives of crime agencies including MI6 and the FBI, as well as Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, gathered for a closed session at a conference in a central-London hotel. The topic: the potential use of virtual currencies by organised criminals and terrorists.
