It's pathetic that Ripple is listed on exchanges, coinmarketcap and other sites as if it's a decentralised cryptocurrency.  Ripple is designed for the bankers and for the greedy developers, which is why they're clearly intending to gradually dump their own coins onto exchanges to make them millions of dollars.

Banks are unlikely to do business with Ripple, sure, but if they do it'll be a sign of how pathetic some cryptocurrency users are for throwing their money into this centralised garbage.

Marketcap is the measuring stick of fools.

Ripple will not be used by banks, they'll invent their own systems. Banks are loathe to accept technology in the first place, and even when they do, they have "not invented here" syndrome. This compels them to re-invent the wheel, so they can say its fully owned by the bank and has been vetted for any potential security risks. The fact that the world population is around 7.5 Billion, and Ripple's maximum "float" is 100 Billion should make people wonder.

That and the fact that its a centralized nightmare, with all the shortcomings that it brings. Except in this case, those shortcomings are multiplied by the speed of light since it is digital. Need more Ripple tokens? Hey, lets change the "cap" and cut-n-paste some more! Its a bankers dream to control a token in that manner. Anyone "investing" in Ripple better beware that I've seen this pattern before... in OTC or "Pink Sheet" stocks. You get the initial rally that is then deflated when the 10Q filing comes out showing the company doesn't have jack.

But once again, we'll get to watch the gnashing of teeth and wailing in the streets when the Ripple train plunges off the bridge of hubris.

yep. classic misconceptions. same as people getting excited about the ethereum alliance. all it's doing is taking the code and then doing their own thing.

no bank is gonna buy xrp to do business.

Definitely, holders will not like the article and I agree, no bank will use XRP to do business.

However, the general public doesn’t seem to realize that these institutions are “encouraged” but not required to use XRP to pay any kind of operation fees. Instead, they can simply make use of the technology provided by Ripple and build their own network using their own in-house tokens.

all of this XRP misinformation is spread by the supporter themselves.  Misinformation to support their hype for XRP.  I even read the ripple is more decentralize than Bitcoin.  I just can't find that line and qoute it here.  It is really alarming how huge the price of XRP jump.  It was just a month ago when the price is around 100+ to 450, and now look at XRP price.  This is sure a bubble. I wonder when this XRP bubble burst.
