Certainly, cryptocurrency and the underlying technology can be applied for charitable works. I have read a post about a charitable or humanitarian organization which used Bitcoin to send funds to some families suffering from the conflicts in the Middle East. Projects for the good of the humanity, the environment and even promoting entrepreneurship can now use cryptocurrency which make things faster and more efficient.
Of course, the use and many benefits of the cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology go far beyond charitable organizations and projects. It can soon encompass many facets of our lives.
