Kazakhstan wants to become Estonia of cryptoworld
Estonia is considered one  of the most advanced in terms of online businesses
have a look at their e-residency programme:
https://e-resident.gov.ee/
if Kazakhstan can offer something like that for cryptocurrencies,it would be awesome!
but, unfortunately, the infrastructure is not there, the country is significantly larger and
I doubt they would be able to achieve anything without major money investment there

Hey guys,

I am from Kazakhstan, Astana and really look forward if our government can attract some fintech companies in there.

Government adopted constitutional law and they currently creating special economic zone with zero taxes, free offices for rent, independent courts etc. But here we have big disadvantage - there is no [Suspicious link removed]munity in our country as i know. Probably there are some enthusiasts and that is all. See whats gonna happen.

Well, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency can really be one of the best opportunities for this country. I think with the right encouragement many people in this nation can be interested with cryptocurrency and it can be able to attract many fintech companies to be based in the country. I salute the government of Kazakhstan for having an open mind for cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology and I am sure it would reap the many rewards soon.

So any news from your government? Though its been just months seen the announcement but I do hope that they are making progress regarding their plans to be a superhub for cypto industry. This is really ambitious, but I think its doable as long as the government and different sectors of society are working hand in hand. Looks to me that they are heading in the right direction of adopting bitcoin and crypto currency in general, because this will attract a lot of investors and pouring cash into your country. Hope this will be realized in few years.

I don't know how active the Kazakhs are in terms of bitcoin activity. But if they are planning this, then I think the people will know what bitcoin or crypto currency for that matter.

Edit: The article says that they are very active in the Localbitcoin scene so I guess this is a good sign and will bring positive impact to not only locally but to the whole bitcoin ecosystem as well.

Kazakhstan Seeks to Become Regional Hub for Cryptocurrency Industry

The Kazakhstan government has announced its intentions to make the country host to “the most favourable business climate” for cryptocurrency and fintech companies. The announcement comes from Kazakhstan’s Astana International Financial Center (AIFC), which plans to operate in collaboration between Deloitte, Waves, Kesarev Consulting, and Ukrainian law firm Justcutum in order to develop a “highly progressive regulatory framework” for blockchain and cryptocurrency companies.
