These data are indicated in the official declarations of deputies in 2016.
I think that this will not affect the overall development and popularity of bitcoin in this country. Deputies will not promote the law on the crypto currency

Russia again uncovers the masks. I don't know who cares of how many bitcoins some Ukranian lawmakers have? Yes, they don't pay taxes from this kind of founds and what? Who knows how many politics and lawmakers in Russia who do the same covering their income from the tax system?!

Personally I believe that any income from Bitcoin must be exempted from tax, simply because it is a currency rather than an investment asset. But if they are using Bitcoin as a medium for tax evasion, then it is another story.

they legalised their assets by declaring them in bitcoins, this is very smart
there is no legislation regulating bitcoin in Ukraine,so there could be no tax levied anyways
it is just that they keep millions and millions of dollars in coins and the people are struggling with an average 220$ a month wage

Dmitry Golubov is the head of Internet Party of Ukraine, right? If that is the case, then his holdings does not surprise me. But this is risky for him. The hackers are now aware of his Bitcoin holdings. He should take extra steps to prevent someone from stealing his coins.

But the point is, its quite surprising that these guys are owning a lot of bitcoins. I thought they are anti-bitcoin but then again cannot removed that fact that even lawmakers from this small country are into bitcoin. I also believed that this is just a tip of the iceberg and there are lawmakers that are not fully disclosing their wealth including bitcoins.

Imagine if a lawmaker from USA saying that he has stash of bitcoin somewhere worth in $100+ million, lol that will be awesome and another rating boost for bitcoin.

They are not "anti-Bitcoin", Bitcoin is in a grey area of the law in Ukraine, the recent crackdown on miners happened because those miners were leeching electricity and not paying taxes, so this could have happened in any other country (even though stupid cops and judge tried to add the whole illegality of Bitcoin thing to this situation.)

Bitcoin can be a very useful asset in countries like Ukraine, because it allows to easily and even somewhat privately hedge against weak national fiat currency. Also, lawmakers and other rich people like to store their wealth on offshore accounts, and Bitcoin can provide the same benefits, but with lower costs and potential gains.

again old news-ukrainian parlament is a bunch of thieves and mentally unstable individuals
suffice it to say that the speaker is diagnosed with schitzophrenia and has all the corresponding medical evidences
some of the representatives are plain crazy, coming to work in camouflage or wearing traditional ukrainian shirts, fighting and kicking each other etc.
the electronic declarations were submitted long time ago and there are much more coins than that
if you rummaged through the documents, you would see that there are dozens of the deputies who declared bitcoins
and 45$ millions is just the tip of an iceberg
