It is possible to reach this price within those 3 years, but it has very serious obstacles ahead that must be solved.

Bitcoin needs to have faster confirmations and Low fee

That is right. I think the block size has to be increased to get low fee.

I think that increasing the size of the block will not solve this problem.
In order to improve bitcoin, he must have a worthy competitor.
At the moment, miners have a very big impact on bitcoin. This is not very good for ordinary users

yes
The price of Bitcoin seems to go through the Crypto J-Curve. And looking at the 3-day chart we may be starting to get vertical again. Frankly, I would be a bit disappointed if $20,000 takes another 3 years. But I can wait  Grin

Those people didn't take notice of bitcoin at sub $1000 because simply is not yet known.

That's not a solid argument. Bitcoin was hovering below the $1000 level in 2016 for the entire year. Even in January of this year it was below the $1000 level. Most of the major news sources and whatever institutions have all been well aware of Bitcoin back in 2013 when it started to explode in value. The only difference is that it took years to recover from the bear market we landed in after MtGox's shutdown. Bitcoin slowly increased in value from that point, but that obviously wasn't interesting for the media and whatever self claimed expert to jump on. Hype is what they are after, and now even financial institutions are showing bullish signs, basically the entire mainstream media industry has planned to take a seat into the moon rocket. But then again, as you also pointed out, this is good publicity after all, and for that reason there is not much that we can complain about.

At least it's not another expert. I like how bullish the sentiment is, but I find it quite funny that these prediction only pop up when the price has gone up significantly already. If you believe that Bitcoin has the potential to reach whatever levels, or to potentially change the financial system in one way or another, why didn't these people show up at the time the price was still moving at sub $1000 levels? It just shows that they are only interested in riding hypes to gain user attention. In that regard, I don't add any value to these articles. I respect those who have been here years ago and were bullish through each and every situation.

Agree, but for me its a good publicity for bitcoin market in general. Everyone of them is really riding the popularity of bitcoin which is a win-win situation for us. But as far the prediction happening, it remains to be seen. I also too believe that bitcoin can reach prices like $5000-$1000, its just a matter of when. Those people didn't take notice of bitcoin at sub $1000 because simply is not yet known. But as years goes by and bitcoin exponentially grow to what we are right now, it make sense for them to pop up once in while and we may never know that they have invested lots of money and pumping the ecosystem.

We can make as many predictions as we want, based on historical figures, but Bitcoin has shown that it does not adhere to normal price trends and forecasts. Until bitcoins are distributed more evenly, we will see price manipulation from whales in this scene. If you can predict their timing and their motives, you would be one step closer to predicting the Bitcoin price.

Short-term volatility should be ignored and long-term price movement, should be a better indication of what would be happening in the future.

Here's another prediction guys. Looks like they are all looking at their crystal balls now regarding the price of bitcoin. LOL :  Grin

Ronnie Moas Predicts Bitcoin Will Hit $20,000 Within Three Years

Standpoint Research founder and analyst Ronnie Moas has projected that Bitcoin will reach a value of $15,000-$20,000 by late 2020. The cryptocurrency has continued its upward trend, several times flirting with the $4,500 level. This makes a single Bitcoin worth about three ounces of gold.

Moas’ projection for the cryptocurrency market

According to Moas, the total market capitalization of all virtual currencies will soar from today’s $150 billion to $2 trillion in the next 10 years. He also compared the exceptional performance of the digital currency market to the “dot-com boom” of the 1990s.

“I am not any more concerned with Bitcoin being at a record high than Amazon or Google investors were concerned when those share prices jumped hundreds of percent and hit $100 and $200 many years ago. Today, both of those stocks are above $900. The question is not where we are at — it is where are we going? I do not think we are in a bubble.”

Previous predictions from Moas include Bitcoin reaching $5,000 in the next few months and Ethereum doubling this year.
