Russia’s finance ministry has proposed including cryptocurrency in the country’s strategy to increase the financial literacy of the population from 2017 to 2023, according to reports on Friday.
The strategy was approved by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev last week. It was based on a joint project between the Russian Ministry of Finance and the World Bank. The program will be implemented in two phases, one in 2017-2019 and the other in 2020-2023, with the Finance Ministry overseeing their implementations.

This is a good proposal from no less than a Russian agency for finance. And with this news, am actually wondering if Russia will by next year eventually accept Bitcoin and cryptocurrency or are they just flirting with it. I am sure that Russians official now understand that there are many of their citizens who are already into cryptocurrency and I have seen so many ICO projects introduced by people with Russian sounding names. These officials must listen to the voice of these people and learn to appreciate the many benefits that a country can have due to cryptocurrency.
