Low electricity costs always be the biggest challenge for the miners, if Japan renewable energy could cover huge mining farms which consume so much energy https://digiconomist.net/bitcoin-energy-consumption. Electricity from solar, wind, biomass, hydroelectric, and geothermal power systems absolutely cheaper than using gas fuel.
