A professional service and consulting firm - Accenture has been appointed by the Central Bank of Singapore to develop a prototype of a new blockchain-based solution for interbank payments.
Previously, the MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) and Singapore's financial regulator revealed the successful development of three different blockchain models for decentralised interbank payments and settlements. Prototypes were developed using three different platforms: R3's Corda, an open-source platform; Hyperledger Fabric and JP Morgan Chase's Ethereum-based Quorum.
