I think it's not an indicator. if they held a poll on the forum that the figures would be much higher. I am sure that 100% of forum users would say that the price will be above $ 10,000. It seems to me that these polls have no meaning and possible results of these surveys are used to create a positive image of bitcoin. It's good, but it is not true.

Of course Bitcoin will top $10K. I would go as far to say that BTC will top $10K before 01JAN19!

Didn't click the link to read so am just going to take the results at face value, on the assumption that these were actual CNBC readers from all over the world responding.

I'm actually both surprised and pleased with the results of this poll. Surprised that there aren't more people gung ho about Bitcoin (since I'm sure most of the respondents will probably know of and own Bitcoin). Pleased that with more than half of the respondents either bearish or in support of Dimon's view, I can expect mass adoption to be delayed a little longer.

Gives me more time to hoard more of them coins!

The media have poisoned so many people with their negative articles on Bitcoin for it to be any higher than that for now. We have weathered a few scandals over the years and negativity should be expected. Bitcoin is slowly growing on people and some of them are starting to see the bigger picture.

Bitcoin is not all Doom & Gloom, like it is being blasted in mainstream media. We will eventually break through the FUD and get global recognition for being a ground breaking technology. ^smile^

Now this seems to be a really biased survey to me.

If you ask people in an online survey about Bitcoin, only people who know Bitcoin and have made experience with it are interested in answering this question (very likely people who own Bitcoin).

If that is the case, there is a lot of wishful thinking in the answers.

This survey of the population confirms that the demand for bitcoin is huge and that the price for it will rise to at least $ 10,000. Thus, bitcoin has a huge potential. If the upcoming November fork of bitcoin will reduce the time of bitcoin transactions and reduce the amount of commissions for the transaction, the bitcoin rate will easily overcome 10,000 dollars and will grow further.

CNBC Online Survey: 49% Expect Bitcoin Price to Rise Above $10,000

CNBC today reported the results of a recent online survey which found that 49% of respondents believe that the price of Bitcoin will eventually top the $10,000 mark. The unscientific online poll ran this week, and received 23,118 responses to the survey question, “Where does Bitcoin go from here?”

Respondents were provided with three possible answers:

Above $10,000
$6.000 to $8,000
Jamie Dimon is correct, you’ll pay the price for buying.
