It's great to see higher level adoption is picking up, but quite funny on the other hand considering how the previous ETF's were rejected due to Bitcoin's unregulated nature. Sure, some things have indeed changed, but it hasn't gone so far where now future markets are popping up like mushrooms after a rainy day. The more Bitcoin tied products we see show up, the more actual demand there will be, and thus the sooner Bitcoin's ecosystem will be a trillion dollar industry. Another thing coming closer is that we are likely going to kiss goodbye to the BTC nomination with how the market jumps up. Bye BTC, welcome mBTC. It's just a matter of time before mBTC becomes the default nomination, that I am sure of.

TD Ameritrade, like many other titans of the financial world, is also jumping on the Bitcoin bandwagon. Indeed, the giant securities brokerage services provider will start trading Bitcoin futures when the financial markets open on Monday, December 18, 2017.

THE VOLUME OF BITCOIN FUTURES TRADING TO SURGE

For some time, Ameritrade had been monitoring whether there were sufficient liquidity and market efficiency for Bitcoin futures. Ameritrade leadership believes that these parameters are now optimal. According to MarketWatch, spokeswoman Alyson Nikulicz stated,

At this point, we believe the market is showing signs of adequate liquidity for CBOE product.
