it is high time to use non-cash currency. How much paper can use. I understand that in those years when technology was not, it had to be. But now there are all conditions for digital money, but we all spend so much effort on paper

This is a good way to balance things out. In the mainstream media, we have been reading not-so-good news or treatment of the news because these people actually do not understand what Bitcoin is all about all they see are the volatility and the bubble comments from well-meaning people. I am sure that in the near future, the mainstream media will be able to see the real Bitcoin and the many things it can contribute for the betterment of the society. Bitcoin is the future and we can ride into that future if we really want to.

Bitcoin 9 years from now...

I really wonder where we will all be 9 years from now...hodling, of course!

I hope we'll be spending. Holding is just a means to an end. We are doing it because the ways of spending are limited and the economy is in the process of being built. Once this is done we'll enter the second phase which is exchanging our coins into goods to make the whole thing useful. Gold 2.0 is just a slogan. I'd like to be able to put my coins into a good use, not exchange them into fiat that I wanted to get away from.

Nice. It's a breath of fresh air to finally read some positive press about bitcoin in mass media. Especially recently, I'm pretty sure I haven't read anything other than doomsday scenarios when it comes to bitcoin or crypto in general.

"What you're seeing now is a very young currency."

The article is quite good and balanced in a way that can help those who are new get educated of what they are getting into. We should realize that Bitcoin is not a perfect platform nor it is a fully flawed-free mechanism whether you are looking at it more as a currency or a store of value. However, despite all the challenges thrown on the way of Bitcoin, the interest of the many is not waning. Some are saying that it has already been a big bubble that can burst anytime, I would say that this recent growth is just the tip of the iceberg. have we not heard some experts predicting that it can go as high as $500,000 in due time or as what the very optimistic John McAfee predicted it can be at least a million dollar by end of 2020 -- and that is only there years from today (this has to come true otherwise the guy has to be compelled to do an unthinkable!). I am very positive that there are so many things stored for Bitcoin in years to come. It is still so young just nine years old...let's come back here when it is already eighteen and analyze if our words did come true or if Jamie was right.

Is an excellent article... The opinions are different from each other and this is very good. of so many things, very interesting that are in this article I removed some passages that in my opinion are important

Dore argues the dollar is far more anonymous than Bitcoin, and the majority of crimes involve cash. Further, he said, cryptocurrencies have a public ledger and require in-depth understanding of the technology to truly be anonymous.

It has been for years that money is the big reason people kill each other, steal, lie and become arrogant. Endless wars are created by people with hidden agendas, people who just want power and natural resources of this region (natural resources = a lot of money) it is sad to see how many people are poor because of these wars... But the billionaires do not care, they just want their bank account number to increase. It is meaningless to say that bitcoin is used for crime when there is oil, gold, uranium, money that is why many people make war (commit genocide)

Either way, Yelowitz recommends treating Bitcoin like the lottery. People shouldn't invest more than they can afford to lose.

I agree with the part of " People shouldn't invest more than they can afford to lose ". but treat bitcoin like lottery is something that people should not do, lottery is gambling and bitcoin is an investment
