Bitcoin's idea can be summarized as "Be your own bank", and we all know that banks sometimes get robbed. This means that every bitcoiner in in charge of security of their own bank, and this include many potential attacks - hackers might steal your coins via Internet, thieves might brake into your house, thugs might kidnap you, and lastly like in this case, government law enforcement cal legally brake into your house and seize everything they want. Experienced Bitcoin users learned how to prevent hacking by using offline machines and hardware wallets, but many are still vulnerable to physical attacks, because they keep their seeds written on pieces of paper, like the guy from this article.

On December 15, 2017, agents of the Ukrainian security service (SSU) conducted a search in the rented apartment of Anatoly Kaplan, the founder of the popular cryptocurrency and blockchain-related media outlet – ForkLog, and literary “robbed” cryptocurrency from his wallets, and a bottle of Kraken rum.

According to the Ukrainian security service, the alleged reason for the search was a criminal case involving a group of Ukrainian and US nationals who engaged in fraudulent activities with bank cards.
