Hmmm. What a turn of events. on September they say that they wouldn't confiscate the bitcoin.

It's the same case as posted by the OP. So i don't now why the sudden U-turn by the Local Court. Although the reports acknowledged their first decision and then reversed it.

Is this the result of the South Korean government heavily regulating crypto now? I'm pretty sure that this will set precedence in the country to ruled out against bitcoins and crypto.

The Suwon District Court ruled on Wednesday to seize 191 Bitcoins (~1 833 600$), as the profits were illegally obtained. The case concerned a person surnamed Ahn, who was indicted for operating adult sites, which is illegal in South Korea. The sites had 1.4 million registered members.
