Clickbait. If he holds Zero, people should not talking about. He probably holds Zero dollars too as he invests most of his money in his dream projects. He likes to have money to build things that he believes.

If you consider that Elon Musk founded X.com in 1999 (which later became PayPal), it is strange that he did not experiment a little bit more with Crypto currencies. I think the bigger projects like SpaceX and Tesla would take up a large share of his time.

This is not to say that he did not assign some team to look into this and that he might announce a MarsCoin, somewhere in the future. The guy is brilliant and I doubt that he would miss an opportunity to capitalize on the opportunity to create his own TeslaCoin or MuskCoin. ^smile^

I don't understand why there's so much fuss over his cryptoholdings. Why should it matter whether he has any bitcoin and the amount of it? His lack of involvement over cryptocurrency may be because he has no interest over it or he is busy with other matters. If he were Satoshi, he may have wanted to keep a low profile by showing disinterest. For someone who is knowledgeable of C++ language, his disinterest over bitcoin or blockchain technology is quite somewhat suspicious.

Elon Musk is simply too busy with his ambitious plans for space exploration. He does solve global problems at his own peril and risk, precisely those that must be solved by all mankind. In parallel with this, he still decides many accompanying tasks, he is just not up to crypto currency. Someday he can and will pay attention to the crypto currency, but not now.

Elon is too freaking busy with changing the world and isn't wasting time with useless ICOs and altcoins. So he has bitcoins, but just because someone gifted him some. Though I wonder how much, maybe he has a few hundreds maybe? Well, not really something I want him to be in, I would rather let him be in his own thing so he can continue to change the world as we know it.

It is very hard to believe that mr. Elon Musk owns only 0,25 BTC and zero amount of any other cryptocurrency. Maybe his statements about savings in crypto are getting near the truth, but Elon like Jack Ma, definitely launched internal blockchain division of the company. Because as a smart businessman, he just cannot neglect blockchain technology, and the full extent of the benefits that this can offer.

Why it is so hard to believed? Or do you rather believed others boasting how much bitcoin they have in their wallet but turns out is not true?

I think its simply he's not into it that's why he doesn't have that much investment but it doesn't mean his against bitcoin or crypto as a whole. He may be very well looking at blockchain and how to take advantage of this technology for all we know. And I really like how he operates in the background.  Less talk, less mistake. Not like those hotshot Wall Street guys who bitch around on everything they are against at.

Why is it that hard for you to believe? It's not that he is in need to park even a small percentage of his capital in Bitcoin or any other coins. His current net worth is over $21 billion, and will likely continue to increase throughout the years. People don't necessarily need to hold any sort of position in crypto to actually like them in an unbiased way. In some cases there are things I genuinely like about other industries and technologies as well, but aside from me liking them and seeing their potential, I'm not doing anything with it. On top of that, him not owning any significant amount of Bitcoin right now doesn't mean he won't dive into it at a later point.

I like how he somewhat remains in the background when it comes to crypto, instead of like all the other idiots we have seen who constantly talk down on Bitcoin, while they don't even need to think about it due to their different interest field. No one even asked about their opinion, but yet they feel the entire world needs to know how mighty Warren Buffett thinks about Bitcoin....

The man is adding to the many stories real and imagined surrounding Bitcoin. He may not have a large Bitcoin or cryptocurrency holdings but the most important thing is that he can be counted on for support being an innovative man himself. As a self-made millionaire, it would have been better if he waded into Bitcoin too but who knows some months or years from now he can be announcing that Tesla (or a division of it) is now engaged in Bitcoin mining or a similar project involving Bitcoin. This man is a great inspiration to all of us who are still formulating our own success stories.

Elon Musk Reveals Personal Crypto Holdings

The billionaire CEO of SpaceX and Tesla told Twitter followers that he, in fact, has never purchased cryptocurrency, and only holds a small amount of Bitcoin gifted by a friend.

The tweet was made in response to scam posts on Twitter claiming to be Mr. Musk requesting Ethereum. It’s an issue that has plagued the Twitter network, with scammers impersonating blockchain figures such as Vitalik Buterin in attempts to steal users cryptocurrency. Twitter users are warned to never send cryptocurrency to anyone claiming to be hosting a giveaway or event.

Whilst the businessman may not own cryptocurrency, it was reported in 2016 that he was not against the technology. When appointed to Trump’s team of advisers he declared that Bitcoin was, in fact, a “good thing”, although he did not elaborate in great detail.

Last year Musk was center of attention in the cryptocurrency space. In November there was heavy speculation that he was, in fact, the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto, creator of Bitcoin. Believers of the theory cited his mastery of C++ (coding language used by both SpaceX and Bitcoin), his passion for solving global problems, and his silence on the issue as evidence. It was also hypothesized that as Satoshi’s original Bitcoin (worth $8b in November) have not been touched, Musk, valued at $19b being the creator made sense – he didn’t need the money. The theory didn’t hold up for long, however, with Musk again taking to Twitter to claim no involvement with cryptocurrencies. The real identity of the creator of Bitcoin will likely remain unknown unless Satoshi wishes to reveal their true identity. It’s a scenario that becomes more unlikely with every passing year.

Elon Musk’s lack of involvement with cryptocurrency is interesting, as decentralized technology firmly aligns with his professed aspirations for a better human society. Whether his involvement will change as blockchain technology develops remains to be seen.

Wow, you would think he'd have a substantial holding in BTC.

Anyways he is still doing great & no one should judge him on this article alone.

Great post.
