22 European Countries Sign Partnership to Create Digital Single Market
Twenty-two EU member states signed a declaration to establish a European blockchain Partnership according to the European Commission website.

The news itself related to the technology of blockchain, the exchange of experience, etc. So far nothing has been written about tighter regulation of the cryptocurrency, limitations on transactions and complete identification of users. But let's wait for G-20 summit in June, what exactly they will say.

Politicans and EU bureaucrats can only talk and sign agreements. They can`t produce any real value for the EU nations.By the way, this blockchain partnership is about adopting and using blockchain technologies to store and verify information. It`s not about creating "digital single market".For me it`s good to know that my country will participate in the agreement, but this won`t lead to an increased demand for cryptocurrencies in Europe or higher crypto prices.
Why are you so pessimistic? I think this "Blockchain Partnership" is clear signal that Europe is in favour of the technology and despite the fact that they kind of avoid mentioning bitcoin, it is clear that you can't support blockchain implementation and ban bitcoin trading at the same time.
One purpose of this signed partnership/declaration is to "avoid a fragmented approach". I understand this in a way that they will regulate ICOs and other aspects of blockchain together and this probably means that there will be no drastic measures like banning crypto exchanges and so on.

On Facebook you can watch video recordings of European Blockchain Summit 2018 which was held in Slovenia. One of speakers was Ethereum Co-Founder Joseph Lubin.

Although the creation of a digital market, as indicated in the title, is virtually non-existent in this agreement, but this agreement can be used to create more specific documents. Therefore, such a document is necessary and useful. It also indicates the need to further protect the personal data of citizens. Maybe something will be further positive regarding the cancellation or simplification of an unnecessary KYC check.

It seems the EU is not unique in this project, there is 28 countries and only 22 sign this-also UK will soon be out and Norway is not member of EU.Actually they just want to study and explore blockchain technology for purpose of using it "to promote user trust and the protection of personal data, to help create new business opportunities and to establish new areas of leadership, benefiting citizens, public services and companies".So there in no direct mention of cryptocurrency, at least not BTC.

There is no doubt blockchain will help EU,but it is interesting that EC is say that this partnership also has a goal to "prevent fragmented approaches by single countries" which is very indicative fact.Even EU is a union of countries, what is good for one country is often not good for the other,so any country should also have a chance to goes in the direction that best suits for country.

Hey EU, you can save all that wasted time (& money!) using these simple and innovative method of creating a single free market :

  • Stop interfering in peoples businesses, then calling it a "free market".
  • Let people trade stocks and commodities without special permissions, you're not "protecting" them, you're protecting the financial market cartels.

Governments aren't any different than the traditional mafia - they similarly like to control their market with iron fist, and they all think they have the right to claim a slice of people's hard earned money. I am already over that stage because it's impossible to prevent this from happening or growing further into a much larger problem. If people don't want to fight for their rights, then resistance is futile.

I am happy that I significantly decreased my exposure to this rotten system by having the majority of my wealth sitting in Bitcoin. I am all in favor of how decentralized applications and platforms will allow people to avoid having to ask permission for something that doesn't belong to any central party. That's why I don't even buy myself in stocks or any other related products that I can't fully own myself, because that what you don't actually own, isn't yours. It's time for people to wake up.
