Fake Websites Around ICO Telegram Enriched Scammers Once Again

At the end of last year, the first reports of the forthcoming ICO Telegram were published. There were no official announcements from the Pavel Durov company (as well as still), but at once people were ready to invest in a project about which they did not know anything.

Their number increased when at the beginning of 2018 a document published in the network that described the plans of the Durov brothers for the creation of the Telegram Open Network (TON) platform based on blockchain with own cryptocurrency named GRAM.

That's right, there's no official announcement for TON ICO, but still, there are people who just invest in sites that suddenly came up from nowhere. I saw several posts here in the forum saying that they have been scammed of a fake TON ICO website. Most likely they got overly excited thinking that TON ICO will be a success that's why they invest withouth a second thought.

The old saying "A fool and his money are soon parted" rings very true in the crypto era. There are people who invest blindly in ICOs, without understanding the underlying product, but this takes it a step further. As long as people are ready to invest without basic due diligence, scamsters will continue to take advantage.

I think that the OP isn`t talking about the scammy ICOs,his post is about a phishing scam, that forces people to believe that they are investing in the real Telegram ICO,while they are just sending their crypto to the scammers.Phishing scams are older than bitcoin and the entire crypto industry. The Telegram ICO devs will have to raise awareness about this and make sure that all the investors will know which one is the legit Telegram ICO page.
