In fact, in Ukraine there has long been a party that accepts donations in the cryptocurrency (I will not say the name, as I do not want to advertise). Their leader - is blogger in Youtube - a fairly well-known person on the Internet. I suppose that in the future there will be many parties in Ukraine that will accept donations in the cryptocurrency. The only question is whether these parties will join the Parliament or the local councils and what issues they will deal with.

A newly formed party in Ukraine has vowed to rely only on cryptocurrency contributions to sustain its activity and never to accept money from the oligarchs. Weakening state control over economy and expanding civil liberties are among its main political priorities. The party wants to protect the interests of people and companies from the IT sector, as well those of small and medium-sized Ukrainian businesses in other industries.

This seems more to be a joke, rather than an attempt at political reform. They say the political party will not accept funding from the oligarchs, but will rely on cryptocurrency donations. How on earth are they going to verify the source of each transaction. Plus the internet isn’t the place to fight every real world battle.

Hope these guys will really make it on their political agenda and goals. The most important thing that happened here is that cryptocurrency is now a recognized force and is now entering the political consciousness of the many and in many countries not just Ukraine. I believe that in Ukraine there are now a critical number of people who are already exposed to cryptocurrency and this is going great for the soon-to-happen massive adoption of cryptocurrency.
