If the 'genesis Bitcoin' is Bitcoin Core, then BCash is Bitcoin Roger, or Bitcoin JiRo, or Bitcoin Jihaaaaaa.

Fact of the matter is that Bitcoin is a public driven coin with the best possible developers working on it, where Bitcoin Jihaaaaaa is nothing more than a coin from which its nodes and everything else is in control of one group/entity. No serious investor will ever put his money into this centralized garbage, where Roger can change his mind and implement anything he wants without any resistance, because there is none. Cheesy

I wouldn't even be surprised if he ends up reversing transactions from theft or whatever, just because he doesn't agree with it. I rather let my money deplete in fiat than having it sit in this garbage.

I better trust Mike and his words, because he predicted bitcoin slump, informed community about his decision to reconsider bitcoin role in his portfolio. That was the first sign of coming crypto winter.

BTC is already become a digital gold. How often do you use gold, this is expensive asset to relocate, same way as bitcoin, but both are still respectable stores of value.

this is a fight that will last for years, there must be something that can be done so that nobody creates some altcoin and says that it is bitcoin. roger ver probably got carried away by the some hatred that he has because the community did not do what he wanted. but he must be a pondering person and must accept democracy, his news site was very good in past, but last ones months, all stuff speaks well about bitcoin cash, it is not possible that all people who work at bitcoin.com have the same opinion about bitcoin cash, even when prices are falling, they make a point of mentioning that bitcoin drop a lot and altcoin cash drop little... dude, they should stop living competing with bitcoin, this is already serious.

You cannot blame people like Roger Ver and his fanboys, when they resort to playground tactics like this, they executed a plan to misrepresent Bitcoin Cash as the original Bitcoin and then people from Bitcoin started to sabotage that tactic, by calling it BCash. Their whole tactic is focussed around the name and the domains they hijacked to execute this hostile takeover from Bitcoin.

But I don't think that their tactic will really works because as more people realized that they have been tricked by Roger, sooner or later they will dumped Bitcoin Cash and go to Bitcoin. However, you can really see those people behind Bitcoin Cash trying their best to manipulate not only the market but the people itself. What a lowlife.

When people started to mess with the name, by calling it BCash and effectively nullifying the tactic to confuse people, then Roger Ver and his fan club, decided to rename Bitcoin too. This is just grownup people acting like children.  Roll Eyes

Oh well, when money is involved, I mean huge amount of money, everyone will do everything and think of ways to eliminate their competition just like Roger and his cohorts are doing. But then again, I would be surprised if those attempts will failed a hundred times. LOL.

Without Bitcoin Roger Ver would be a nobody yet this is the way he treats the asset that made him a fortune. Let him live with his bcash
A 8 yrs old is probably less annoying than him at this point.

They've already successfully manipulated the public's perception if they've managed to get other people to start calling it "Bitcoin Core", rather than just "Bitcoin".  Literally no one called it "Bitcoin Core" before the bitcoin.com website started calling it that.  Don't fall victim to their game.  They're clearly trying to discredit Bitcoin's decentralised nature by claiming that only one dev team makes all the decisions.  If you look at the bitcoin.com website, you'll notice they're now stressing that BCH has multiple dev teams and using that as a selling point.  It's a deliberate and calculated attempt to dictate the narrative.  Bitcoin is not just one solitary dev team and we need to make people aware of that.

Bitcoin Core are a dev team.  The coin, the blockchain and the network are simply called Bitcoin.  Call it what it is.

Sadly, many people have fallen for it, and you can now see many places and people accepting and using both coins simultaneously. I think the main reason for that is that they are new or don't follow all the discussions, so they don't fully understand how bad Bcash is, they might even naively think that it's an alternative version of Bitcoin. Sooner or later Bcash will die, but so far it was relatively successful in creating confusion.

This behavior of the social media controlled by Roger Ver is very toxic. I hope he realizes as soon as possible that he will only undermine the whole future of cryptocurrency if he continues with this. If the BCH is, in fact, better, this will be obvious and everyone will move to use it.

Bitcoin Cash is a strong name. And this is due to all the stability and security that Bitcoin has. Do not destroy it all by anger, or because you have fuck you money. We are still living the experimental era and for a world dominated by cryptocurrencies to become, reality we can not have such stupid internal wars.

“Enough already.”

That’s the message that billionaire Mike Novogratz had for the @Bitcoin Twitter account, whose operator has lately hopped on the “Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin” bandwagon.

Responding to a post that claimed Bitcoin Cash is the “oldest cryptocurrency” and that BTC is “an experimental currency” that is essentially two years old, Novogratz shot back that “Bitcoin core is BTC.”

“Enough already. Bitcoin core is BTC. It is a store of value. It is digital gold. Its market cap dwarfs bitcoin cash,” he said. “If you want to be a payments currency by definition you need to have stable value. So why own it?”

The former Fortress partner, who recently raised $250 million to establish Canada-based cryptocurrency merchant bank Galaxy Digital, further argued that bitcoin is analogous to gold, an asset that is virtually never used for payments in the modern world.

“When is the last time you bought something with gold? No one does. It’s just a store of value,” he said.

Novogratz’s comments on whether BTC or BCH is the true heir to the “Bitcoin” mantle come as the dispute between the two factions has been steadily heating up.

Recently, Roger Ver’s Bitcoin.com stoked the flames by altering its block explorer to list BCH as “Bitcoin” and BTC as “Bitcoin Core.”

This, unsurprisingly, sparked an enormous backlash from critics of Bitcoin Cash — many of whom derisively refer to it as “Bcash” — and a cohort launched a campaign to initiate a class-action lawsuit against Ver.

This initiative proved to be short-lived, however, as the legal fund failed to garner enough donations to get the campaign off the ground.

Even so, it was apparently successful in one respect, as Bitcoin.com quietly reversed the change it had made to its block explorer.

Meanwhile, CoinMarketCap — far and away the most popular cryptocurrency price tracking website — quietly removed a link to Bitcoin.com from Bitcoin’s currency page. Previously, the website — along with Satoshi-founded Bitcoin.org — had been listed as a quasi-official resource on CMC.
