Nice article, it offers not only informations about the seized Bitcoin from an ebooks seller but it shows that the German authorities seized and sold hundreds of bitcoin + they are on hurry to sell not only Bitcoin but also btcash + btcgold... which happens to be the opposite of the bulgare authorities :

First question on my mind when i still didnt able to read up the article, i thought those bitcoins seized from an illegal exchange but when i do read up it do came from  LuL.to portal which illegally offered more than 200,000 e-books and audiobooks for sale. as stated on there when i read up but i dont know if its right for them to sell off on seized Bitcoins?

Prosecutors Sell 1,000 Bitcoin in Germany’s Largest Cybercrime Sale

Bamberg cybercrime specialists have sold over 1,000 Bitcoin and other coins for more than €12 million ($13.9 million) since February 2018. The cryptocurrencies were seized from a platform that had 30,000 users and is the highest sale of seized Bitcoin in Germany.
