It is definitely important, but there's not much to say about it other than that it's slowly picking up. Segwit adoption means an actual benefit for the user since 99.9% of all the participants within Bitcoin's ecosystem transact on-chain.

The real battle begins when the big block camp is the only one left without having utilized Segwit. I guess they account for like 25% of the ecosystem. In other words, 70-75% network support seems to be the most realistic target before the end of 2019. Everything that we gain over 75% is a bonus in my book.
